Our Cessna 150, N60406, is getting a new look. Sporting a new paint job, it should be back at Chopper sometime in mid-September, 2026. The color scheme is a secret. Check in from time to time for updates.

OUR FLEET

OVER A DOZEN PILOTS GET THEIR WINGS EVERY YEAR FROM CHOPPER AVIATION

Camping under the wing of our Piper Cherokee at AirVenture in Oshkosh this year. In the North 40, you never know what will be parked next to you when you wake up.

Each year, we participate in the “Cherokees to Oshkosh” mass formation arrival. https://cherokees2osh.com This year, Chopper’s Cherokee and I had the privilege to be an element lead with two wingmen, one of which was Jon Hunt. Jon is “The Flying Reporter”, a private pilot based near London, England, who flew his Piper Cherokee Arrow across the Atlantic to Oshkosh to participate in our mass formation arrival. Check out his inspirational story about our Oshkosh arrival and AirVenture, which was also his first time, as well as other vlogs about flying around the UK and Europe. Looking forward to next year! Mike Bailey was looking through our website from the comfort of his Florida home when he came across a familiar N# on our fleet page. It was the airplane he soloed back in 1996. He contacted us and asked if he could fly it again if he was ever back in the area. His wish came true about 5 months later. Of course we cut his shirt tail again. “The solo picture was taken on November 8, 1996. The day I soloed in N60406. 29 years and 20,000 flying hours later, I’m reunited with N60406 once again. I am so happy to see the care and love given to N60406 by the wonderful people at Chopper Aviation. I hope that the future pilots flying N60406 have as much fun and success with her as I have enjoyed. Mike Bailey, Delta Air Lines 767 Captain / Line Check Airman.” Thanks Mike, WOOF!
